South Fayette Township (Municipal) Property Tax Bills are Mailed April 1st of each Year.
South Fayette Township 2015 Millage is 3.48 mills. Township tax checks should be made payable to "South Fayette Township".
April 1 thru May 31: 2% Discount Amount
June 1 thru July 31: Face Amount
August 1 thru December 31: 10% Penalty Amount
After December 31: Taxes are considered delinquent and will be sent to the delinquent collector.
*Postmarked payments are accepted for all pay periods.

South Fayette Area School Property Tax 2015 is 26.11680 mills. School tax checks should be made payable to "South Fayette School District".
ACT 1 Taxpayer Relief: Homestead/ Farmstead assesment reduction is $5,746 for 2015
Only those properties designated as homestead or farmstead will receive the tax reduction.
a property owner only has to apply once through the county for the exemption. The only time a property owner must reapply is when a change in the deed takes place or the property is no longer their primary residence.

After December 31: All unpaid South Fayette Area School District property taxes will be turned over to the delinquent collector.
South Fayette Area School District Property Tax Installments Option (School tax only)
The school taxes may be paid in three equal installments, due on August 31, October 31 and December 31. No tax discount is permitted for taxes paid under the installment option. The payment of the FIRST Installment by a taxpayer on or before the first installment due date will indicate and show intention that the installment option is being utilized. The remaining TWO installment payment coupons will be mailed to you AFTER the first payment is received by the South Fayette Property Tax Office.
IMPORTANT: UNDER PENNSYLVANIA LOCAL TAX COLLECTION LAW, A PROPERTY OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OR HER TAXES EVEN IF THE PROPERTY OWNER DID NOT RECEIVE A BILL.
IT IS THE OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE ANY MAILING ADDRESS CHANGES FOR THE TAX BILL, INCLUDING MORTAGE OR ESCROW COMPANIES CHANGE OF ADDRESS, REFINANCED MORTGAGES, AN ESCROW ACCOUNT NO LONGER EXISTING OR ANY CHANGE IN MAILING STATUS MUST BE DIRECTED TO THE SOUTH FAYETTE PROPERTY TAX OFFICE AND ALLEGHENY COUNTY TREASURER.
THE TAX NOTICE IS MAILED TO THE LAST KNOWN POST OFFICE ADDRESS OF EACH PROPERTY OWNER/MORTGAGE COMPANY OR OTHER RESPONSIBLE PARTY ON FILE. IF THERE IS A CHANGE OF STATUS FOR THE TAX BILL MAILING ADDRESS, DO NOT DEPEND ON MORTGAGE OR CLOSING COMPANIES TO HANDLE THIS FOR YOU.
